VinFast has launched a major customer incentive program offering three years of free electric car charging and extended battery replacement support for electric motorcycles. The announcement was made as part of a Lunar New Year celebration campaign and is designed to accelerate electric vehicle adoption while rewarding existing and new customers across the country.
The program, titled “Lunar New Year Gift for the Year of the Horse,” reflects VinFast’s strategy to strengthen its ecosystem and encourage sustainable transportation. Under this initiative, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer will provide free battery charging for electric cars and complimentary battery replacement benefits for electric motorcycles, making EV ownership more affordable and practical.
Free Charging Policy for Electric Cars
Starting February 10, 2026, individual customers who purchase a VinFast electric vehicle will be eligible for free charging at V-Green charging stations nationwide until February 10, 2029. This represents a full three-year charging benefit.
The free charging policy is capped at a maximum of 10 charging sessions per month. According to VinFast, this limit is equivalent to an average monthly driving distance of approximately 1,500 to 5,000 kilometers, depending on vehicle model and driving conditions. For most daily commuters and urban users, this allowance is expected to fully cover regular travel needs.
VinFast’s V-Green charging network will serve as the backbone of this initiative. The company has been aggressively expanding its nationwide infrastructure to support a growing EV user base. By integrating free charging into its ecosystem, VinFast aims to remove one of the key concerns for potential EV buyers: ongoing energy costs.
Customers who purchase vehicles and register for exclusive operations on the Green SM platform will receive even greater benefits. These users will enjoy unlimited free charging. VinFast will cover the first 10 charging sessions each month, while additional sessions will be supported by GSM under a partnership arrangement.
Importantly, the policy is not limited to new buyers. Owners who purchased their vehicles before February 10, 2026, will also benefit. Their total free charging period will be extended to a full three years from the vehicle delivery date. For early adopters who are already enrolled in previous promotional programs, VinFast has promised to select whichever option is most advantageous for the customer.
Special Battery Support for Electric Motorcycles
In addition to electric cars, VinFast is offering strong incentives for its upcoming electric motorcycles equipped with swappable batteries. Until June 30, 2028, all customers will receive up to 20 free battery swaps per month. This benefit corresponds to a minimum travel distance of around 800 kilometers monthly.
Drivers operating exclusively on the Green SM platform will receive unlimited free battery swaps during this period. This move highlights VinFast’s push to support commercial and ride-hailing users who rely heavily on electric two-wheelers for daily income.
The company confirmed that the free battery replacement program for electric motorcycles will remain active through the end of June 2028. By reducing battery-related costs — one of the biggest expenses in EV ownership — VinFast hopes to accelerate the shift away from gasoline-powered bikes.
A Strategic Thank-You to Customers
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy General Director of VinFast Global Automotive Sales, described the initiative as a gesture of gratitude to customers who helped the brand achieve major milestones in 2025. She emphasized that the program is part of a broader mission to build a greener transportation future.
Beyond free charging and battery support, VinFast is also running an additional campaign titled “Strong Efforts for a Green Future.” This financing program helps customers purchase vehicles with zero down payment installment options. Buyers can also receive direct financial support equal to 6% to 10% of the vehicle price across all car and electric motorcycle models.

VinFast’s latest promotion is one of the most aggressive EV incentive programs in the region. By tackling cost barriers such as charging expenses, battery maintenance, and upfront purchase price, the company is positioning itself as a leader in accessible electric mobility.
