Kochi, January 20, 2026 – Škoda Auto India has officially unveiled the new Kushaq, strengthening its commitment to democratising European technology for Indian roads. With a bold design refresh, segment-first technologies, enhanced safety, and feature-rich offerings as standard, the new Kushaq reinforces Škoda’s promise of being truly #EasytoLove.
Introduced under the brand’s India 2.0 strategy, the Kushaq has been instrumental in Škoda Auto India’s growth journey. The latest update takes the SUV to the next level by combining European engineering excellence with features and ownership benefits tailored specifically for Indian customers.
Modern Solid Design with European Character
The new Kushaq adopts Škoda’s evolving Modern Solid design philosophy, while retaining the brand’s distinctive European identity. At the front, the SUV now features an all-new grille with chrome ribs and an illuminated light band, flanked by redesigned LED headlamps and LED fog lamps. Front parking sensors further enhance convenience and safety.
At the rear, connected LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators create a striking visual signature, complemented by illuminated ‘Škoda’ lettering that spans the width of the tailgate. Clean, muscular body lines, protective cladding around the wheel arches, and standard alloy wheels across all variants give the Kushaq a confident and sporty stance.
The SUV is now available in three new colours—Shimla Green, Steel Grey, and Cherry Red—alongside existing shades such as Candy White, Lava Blue, and Deep Black. For the first time, the popular Monte Carlo badge is available right from launch, responding to strong customer demand for a sportier, more premium look.
Real Automatics, Real Driving Pleasure
Staying true to Škoda’s reputation for dynamic performance, the new Kushaq offers a range of “real automatics”. Headlining the powertrain lineup is a segment-first eight-speed torque converter automatic, paired with the efficient and powerful 1.0 TSI engine producing 85 kW and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is also available with a six-speed manual transmission.
For enthusiasts seeking higher performance, the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivers 110 kW and 250 Nm of torque and comes exclusively with the proven seven-speed DSG automatic. Featuring Active Cylinder Technology and disc brakes on all four wheels, this variant blends efficiency with exhilarating performance. With a ground clearance of 188 mm, the Kushaq remains equally capable on highways and rougher terrain.
Elevated Comfort and Digital Experience
Inside, the new Kushaq delivers a premium and tech-forward cabin experience. A panoramic sunroof, introduced on the Kushaq for the first time, floods the interior with natural light, while dual-colour ambient lighting enhances the overall ambience.
Comfort features include six-way electric front seats with ventilation, a premium Škoda sound system with six speakers and a subwoofer, and a generous boot space of 491 litres, expandable to 1,405 litres. Climatronic Auto AC, electric sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper, and rear defogger are now standard across variants.
The digital experience is led by a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, supported by a next-generation digital architecture. Higher variants feature a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, while mid variants receive an 8-inch digital display.
A standout highlight is the advanced Voice Assistant powered by Google Automotive AI Agent, bringing Gemini into the vehicle. This system supports natural, context-aware voice commands, recognises Indian English accents, and enables hands-free control of navigation, media, climate functions, and more—delivering a smarter, more intuitive driving experience.
Safety Without Compromise
Safety continues to be a cornerstone of the Kushaq’s appeal. The SUV carries forward its 5-star Global NCAP rating, offering six airbags and over 25 active and passive safety features as standard, extending to more than 40 features on higher variants. Škoda has ensured enhanced visibility and reduced driver fatigue through standard features like automatic wipers, rear defogger, and auto-dimming mirrors.
Easy to Own with Škoda Super Care
Ownership is made hassle-free with the new Škoda Super Care package, which includes a 4-year / 100,000 km standard warranty, 4 years of roadside assistance, and four labour-free services for up to two years or 30,000 km. Customers can extend the warranty up to six years, along with added corrosion and paint protection warranties.
Bookings and Availability
Pre-bookings for the new Škoda Kushaq are now open on Škoda Auto India’s official website at ₹15,000, with deliveries scheduled to begin by end of March 2026.
