This accounts for over 31 percent of total road fatalities nationwide.
A separate survey conducted by the Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group (CAG) in July 2024 revealed that helmet usage among children remains alarmingly low. Many parents find it difficult to locate properly sized helmets for young passengers, while children often resist wearing standard helmets due to discomfort or lack of appeal. This gap in safety awareness makes children more vulnerable during accidents, as their physical and cognitive development is still in progress.
